Background: Jolie does not remember much of her mortal life, including her family. Her earliest memories take place in some area of Europe- where IN exactly she is not sure. These memories involve a rich family and a blonde woman that nursed her, an orphanage and later a pack of rogue teenagers on the streets.

At the approximate age of 13 she was caught in the act of thievery and foolishly (or not?) agreed to travel with the foreign man that had caught her rather than be sent to jail. She spent only a few months with this man traveling by foot, animal, and water until they had arrived in what she would later recognize as the orient. Here the man left her, selling her to a brothel for the cash that he was in dire need of. Jolie spent not even a week in the brothel before a generous man in his late 30’s spotted the young girl. He recognized her as very young and very foreign to those parts and “purchased” her for a night. He never returned her though and the two of them set off several towns north.

Jolie and her savior, who would only allow her to know him as “Moru”, lived approximately five years together. In this time Moru provided Jolie with an education and the means of which to defend herself in combat. He also made certain of her high flexibility, mental capacity, reflex, and sensitivity to her surroundings. WHY Moru looked out so lovingly for Jolie is a mystery to even her.

When Jolie was in her early 20s Moru vanished, leaving only a note not to follow. Of course… Jolie did follow. On her epic search to find Moru she met Zack, a fellow foreigner. Jolie would later discover that Zack was a Vampire.

Sir Erickson (Eric), an ally of Zack’s, became fascinated with Jolie upon first sight and he made many advances towards her… all of which she refused nonchalantly. Finally, in a fit or lust, rage, and even a little bit of sympathetic love, Eric forcibly turned Jolie to the Vampire she is today. The transaction became complicated though and Zack ended up finishing Jolie’s transformation- this made Jolie a sort of hybrid of the vampires.

Jolie’s true love was for Zack and, realizing this, Eric became jealous. Eric finally slaughtered his best friend in order to seize dominance in Jolie’s life. However, this did not work out the way he had planned and, instead of seeing Eric as the only option, Jolie became vengeful- seeking to destroy Eric. This turned even Eric’s love to hatred.

In the late 1900s she met up with a young faerie by the name of Crysolite.

In the early 2000s Zack would turn up “alive”… but the hatred and the war between Eric and Jolie would rage on. Around this same time Jolie would discover her sister, Va’Shanna Remeriz, and fall in love with Maverick.
